Testimonials

A Recipe for Success: Finding Women Through Community Cookbooks is a wonderful program. I loved learning about the lives of these women and the historical context in which the community cookbooks were written. I found the process of Erin putting together the historical records and pictures of where they lived and how they lived to be riveting.  It worked great for us as a virtual program, and I'm sure it would be wonderful in person as well (especially to be able to sample the recipes). Highly recommend!

[Erin] is extremely knowledgeable and gave an information-packed, enjoyable slideshow to present resources for researching family history.  She addressed the interests of both those newly beginning this project and those with experience. I highly recommend this program for libraries to provide to patrons and, in addition, it would be very useful for library staff to learn how to help those researching their family.

Erin gave a great program on a very different road to finding ancestry and women's history. She has given me a new way to look for silent voices in our library archives - through cookbooks!

Erin's presentation contained the perfect balance of solid research, fascinating information and interactivity. Patrons who attended went out of their way to email me after the program with positive comments. I would highly recommend The Beginner's Guide to Cemetery Sleuthing to other libraries looking for an interesting program to offer their patrons.

Erin's presentation on Female Poisoners was a perfect companion to our book club reading of The Devil's Rooming House. Our patron's raved about Ms. Moulton's knowledge, her slide show, and the fun they had learning which drink they matched to. Merrimack Public Library would be happy to host her programs again!
